Seville Map Poster: orange-tree lanes along the Guadalquivir
Why Seville works so well as a map poster
Seville's old town is the largest in Spain and one of the three biggest in Europe — a glorious tangle of whitewashed lanes around the Cathedral and the Alcázar, wrapped by the Guadalquivir on one side and the remains of the walls on the other.
On the map, Triana answers from across the river, María Luisa Park spreads its gardens to the south, and the Plaza de España draws its perfect half-circle. It is a warm, organic map that could be nowhere else on earth.
Best palettes for Seville
- Sunset — the signature pick: Andalusian evening golds and pinks.
- Warm Beige — albero and whitewash — Seville's daytime colours.
- Midnight Blue — feria nights: dark sky, glowing lanes.
Where to centre the map and which radius to use
Centre on the Cathedral with a 4 km radius: the old town's tangle, Triana and both river branches fit with the Plaza de España's arc in the south. Seville's lanes are fine — print 50×70 cm or bigger if you can.

Design your own Seville poster

Which size to print
City maps with lots of fine streets reward size: 30×40 cm is the sweet spot for a desk or hallway, 50×70 cm and 60×90 cm turn the map into a statement piece where individual streets remain legible from across the room. Stick to matte paper so the dark palettes do not reflect. Read the printing and framing guide.
