About the Valencia map
a green river bend between old town and sea
Valencia has something no other city map has: a river without water. The Turia's old bed, turned into a nine-kilometre garden, curls around the old town like a green ribbon and runs all the way to the City of Arts and Sciences and the sea.
That single green stroke organises the whole poster — medieval knot inside the bend, the Eixample's grid below it, the port and the beach closing the frame to the east.
Centre on the Plaza del Ayuntamiento with a 5 km radius: the Turia ribbon, the old town, the port and the beach all make the frame. The garden's curve is the star — let it cross the whole print.
