About the Athens map
a dense white sea around the Acropolis
Athens from above is a sea of streets lapping against islands of rock and history: the Acropolis, Lycabettus Hill, Philopappos. The density is extraordinary — one continuous urban texture from the port of Piraeus to the mountains.
What makes the poster work are the voids: the archaeological park around the Acropolis, the National Garden next to Syntagma, and the twin hills breaking the pattern. Ancient landmarks read as calm gaps in the modern noise.
